Second Shift Parts Clerk (Charlotte NC) Contract To Hire

PrideNow is hiring for a Parts Clerk (2nd shift) for our HVAC partner in Charlotte, NC! Our partner is a top nationwide HVAC company! In this role you will be responsible for the Service Department’s parts needs and daily handling of parts in the branch. Parts clerk must deal with and be a resource to both internal and external customers, in-person and on the phone. You will also will greet customers in person and by phone for Service Department and Parts Department and be responsible for opening and closing of work orders for the shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Answer incoming calls for parts and service. Fill orders and market our parts products and services to these customers. 
• Respond to Service Departments and outside customers’ needs for parts. 
• Open repair orders in DIS for Service customers and advise shop foreman of urgency and work needed.
• Collect payment from cash customers, or if a charge customer, ensure we have a PO or needed info to get PO prior to customer leaving our facility.
• Deliver parts to the shop as needed.
• Responsible for all warranty parts handling, ensuring that all parts are shipped out in a timely manner. 
• Understand where to obtain answers to inquiries. Be knowledgeable on all stocked parts.  
• Contribute to the overall sales efforts and goals of the company and the parts department by talking to customers and understanding their needs and solutions.
• Process parts as they are received from the vendor. Unpack, stock, place on shelves, and update bins. 
• Invoice all parts as they leave the parts department. This may be on either a repair order or a counter ticket.  Parts are to be accounted for on the computer system prior to leaving the parts department.
• Pulling parts orders and invoicing for the Aftermarket Parts Manager as needed.
• Perform cycle counts as directed by manager, participate in inventory counts as needed.
• Maintain Parts Room in a neat and orderly fashion at all times.
• Any other tasks assigned by management.

Required Skills: 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1+ years experience performing inventory control techniques 

Preferred Skills:  

• Experience with cycle counting 
• Experience with kan-ban inventory control techniques
