Job Title: Sorter/Packer III
Location: 7526 N. Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63147
Pay Rate: $16.83/hour

Shifts: 8-hour shift schedule, Monday – Friday

• 2nd shift – 2pm to 10pm
• 3rd shift – 10pm to 6am

Job Summary:

• The Packer/Stacker is responsible for inspecting and packing products produced by various finishing machines by performing the following key responsibilities set forth.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
• Must have experience in a manufacturing setting.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Work on both ends of the machine performing the packing and stacking of finished product.
• Inspect all finished product for any defects.
• Ensure glue is properly adhered to the product and meets bond test requirements.
• Weight the product for specific count and pack the product in an RSC.
• Tape and seal the product.
• Maintain housekeeping.
• Maintain full compliance of all GMPs.
• Maintain waste generation at or below budgeted standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and rules.
• Promote safety & safety programs throughout the facility.
• Follow all machine specific lockout/tagout procedures on an as needed basis.
• Participate and ensure department is complaint with food safety requirements.
• Ability to effectively manage time.
• Must pass a criminal background, drug screen and fitness for duty physical.

Physical Demands:

• The employee is required to stand for long periods of time to perform the essential job duties.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Steel Toe shoes, no jewellery, no piercings, no artificial nails, no nail polish, no hoodies, no clothing with strings hanging out of waistline, or hoods.
